This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit woodcraftbuild.com (the “Site”), request a quote, submit a contact form, communicate with us by phone or text message, or otherwise interact with our services.
By using the Site or our services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you contact us, request a quote, or engage our services, we may collect: your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, project details and preferences, photos or documents you share with us, and any other information you choose to provide.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect information about your device and browsing activity, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and similar usage data. We collect this information using cookies, web beacons, tags, and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads conversion tracking.
2.3 Information from Third-Party Lead Platforms
We receive customer inquiries from third-party home services platforms such as Angi, Thumbtack, and Houzz. These platforms collect your information directly from you under their own terms and privacy policies, then share it with us so we can respond to your inquiry. Information typically shared with us includes your name, contact details, and project description.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, prepare and deliver quotes, schedule consultations and site visits, manage your project from design through completion, send you appointment reminders and project status updates, send SMS text messages if you have opted in (see Section 4), invoice and collect payment for services rendered, improve our Site and services, comply with legal obligations, and exercise our legal rights.
4. SMS Mobile Messaging Program
4.1 Program Description
Woodcraft Design & Build LLC operates an SMS text messaging program (the “Program”) to communicate with customers and prospective customers about their inquiries, appointments, and projects. The Program is operated through our messaging service provider.
4.2 How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from us in any of the following ways:
By submitting a contact form on the Site and checking the SMS consent box on the form; by providing verbal consent to a Woodcraft representative during a phone inquiry after being informed that your phone number will be used to send you SMS messages related to your inquiry; or by submitting a lead through a third-party platform such as Angi or Thumbtack where you have consented to be contacted by SMS as part of that platform’s terms.
4.3 Message Types and Frequency
Messages you may receive include confirmations and reminders for appointments and site visits, project status updates, quote follow-ups, responses to your inquiries, and other service-related communications. Message frequency varies based on the stage and nature of your inquiry or project.
4.4 STOP and HELP
You may opt out of the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further messages from us through the Program. To opt in again, reply START. Reply HELP to any message to receive support contact information.
4.5 Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to all SMS messages sent or received through the Program. Consult your wireless plan for details. Woodcraft does not charge you a fee for participating in the Program.
4.6 Mobile Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Carrier participation may vary.
4.7 No Sharing of Mobile Information for Marketing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information sharing described in Section 5 of this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and SMS consent information; this information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.
Information sharing to subcontractors that provide support services to Woodcraft (such as our customer relationship management platform, scheduling system, and our SMS messaging service provider) is permitted solely to enable the delivery of SMS messages you have requested and other services you have engaged.
4.8 Relation to Terms and Conditions
Your use of the SMS Program is also governed by Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions, which contains additional details about the Program.
5. How We Share Information
5.1 Service Providers
We share information with vendors and service providers that perform functions on our behalf, including our customer relationship management system, scheduling and field service software, payment processors, accounting and bookkeeping providers, email and SMS messaging service providers, web hosting and analytics providers, and marketing platforms. These vendors are permitted to use your information only as needed to perform services for us and are required to keep it confidential.
5.2 Subcontractors and Trade Partners
For active projects, we may share relevant project information (such as your name, address, and project scope) with subcontractors and trade partners we engage to complete your project, such as electricians, framers, and our helical pier installation partner.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
5.4 Business Transfers
If Woodcraft is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
5.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your consent.
5.6 SMS Consent Carve-Out
As stated in Section 4.7, SMS opt-in data and mobile consent information are excluded from all categories of information sharing described above and will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, analyze how visitors use the Site, and measure the performance of our advertising. Specific tools currently in use include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads conversion tracking. You may control cookies through your browser settings and may opt out of personalized advertising through industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or Google’s ad settings.
7. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any text message from us. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the information in Section 12.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site and our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. California Residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us using the information in Section 12.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice on the Site or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
